Update regarding ISLPR testing and COVID restrictions
When are we resuming our interstate and overseas tests?
Unfortunately, we are still unable to provide a definitive answer. ISLPR Language Services has been keeping up to date with any relevant advice provided by the Australian and Queensland Government and health authorities in relation to COVID-19. Due to the on-going COVID-19 restrictions, all interstate and overseas tests will remain postponed until further notice. Although restrictions are easing, it is still not possible for ISLPR Language Services to travel interstate and overseas. This is because strict border crossing rules are still in place.
Rest assured that as soon as it is feasible for ISLPR Language Services to travel interstate or overseas, we will schedule dates. Furthermore, anyone who has applied and received a credit note from our office is still on our “top priority list” and will be given priority once test dates are confirmed.
As some of you may be aware, we have been looking into an online testing solution so we can provide the ISLPR test to those who are located interstate and overseas and can’t make it to our Brisbane office. Since our last update, we are happy to announce that the development of this software is underway. We hope to commence trials within the next two months while seeking approval from end-users (e.g. the Australian teacher registration authorities and the New Zealand Education Council) to confirm whether they will accept the online test results before we can start using the software.
