We oversee and implement strict quality assurance for the use of the

ISLPR® in teaching and testing.

Who is the IGAC?

The ISLPR Global Accreditation Company’s (IGAC) purpose is to provide quality assurance to all end-users that accept the ISLPR® for high-stakes certification by accrediting testers, teachers and tutors who administer the ISLPR® and quality assuring all test results. It is in the interest of candidates, testers and end-users of test results to ensure that any results received for university entry purposes, vocational (including teacher) registration or any other purpose have been quality assured.

To be relevant to a learner’s real-life language needs, teaching and testing must focus on a candidate’s real-life practical language skills. Our vision is to provide ESL speakers in Australia, New Zealand and beyond, an alternative to the generic way of teaching and testing English.

Australian Owned & Operated – The ISLPR® and PALT™ are wholly Australian produced and owned.
Global focus – we are expanding our reach globally with the development of an Online English Test.
Domestic centres – we have offices in Brisbane & Melbourne and are expanding our permanent presence across Australia and New Zealand in 2021.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality assurance is built into all major international tests; ISLPR® is no different and ISLPR® tests are subject to strict quality assurance procedures. Test results that have been quality assured and accredited by IGAC will carry a stamp along with the statement:

“These results have been accredited by the ISLPR® Global Accreditation Company”.

Institutions accepting the ISLPR® are recommended to show the ISLPR® on their list of accepted tests in this way: ISLPR® (IGAC accredited)

ACCREDITATION

TESTER ACCREDITATION

Every year the IGAC offers a training program conducted by a qualified specialist (under the authority of the ISLPR® Global Accreditation Company). The purpose of our training program is to recruit new testers who will gain employment at one of our accredited testing centres.

TEACHER ACCREDITATION

The IGAC offers a training program conducted by a qualified specialist (under the authority of the ISLPR® Global Accreditation Company). The purpose of our training program is to recruit new teacher who will gain employment at one of our accredited testing centres as an English teacher/tutor.

LANGUAGE CENTRE ACCREDITATION

An ISLPR^® Global Accredited Language Centre is an organisation that makes use of and references the ISLPR^® in their teaching, tutoring or courses (including in course development, streaming and assessment). The IGAC offers an accreditation program conducted by a qualified specialist (under the authority of the IGAC). Accreditation ensures the organisation is referencing the ISLPR^® correctly as well as authorising the use of the ISLPR^® trademark in course materials and marketing materials.

TEST CENTRE ACCREDITATION

An ISLPR^® Global Accredited Test Centre is an organisation that has received a licence from the IGAC to produce accredited ISLPR^® tests. All tests are quality assured by the IGAC through a rigorous moderation process and all certificates are issued by the IGAC.
